We woke to a sunny, warm day at the base of Devil's Tower, WY and drove up to Sheridan so Lynn could visit the security team at the airport. After the meeting, we drove another hour or so and stopped at Little Big Horn, MT which is where Custer fought several Indian tribes (Crow, Arapahoe, Cheyenne etc). He and his men didn't have a chance. They were baiscally pinned into a bowl and just couldn't get out plus they were outnumbered like crazy. Lynn did find Custer's stone where he died but he's actually buried at West Point. Anyway, I don't think Ruth understood much of what she saw, but Henry seemed interested and asked tons of good questions. After leaving the battlefield, we went into a Crow Trading Post and dropped some change on 'stuff' (T-shirts, indian dolls, etc).
By this time it was 6pm and we wanted to make it another hour to Billings for the night. About 10 minutes before entering Billings, we ran into horrible storm and the RV was being blown all over the road. Lynn told me to keep two hands on the wheel. Believe me, there was no need to say it because I had a death grip on the wheel because I thought for sure we were going to flip over. 11pm MST right now and the kids are asleep. Whew! ------ Jeff
