At the Halfway Point

Today marks the end of our first three weeks on the road. Coincidentally, we're at the farthest point of the trip now that we've reached Glacier National Park in northwestern Montana. We're a stone's throw from the Canadian border once we're in the park. Actually, the park actually reaches into Canada, and their part is called Waterton.

I can't seem to get an internet connection on my computer, so the Blackberry will have to do.

We had a pretty uneventful day - we had a sunny day with no rain and only a few bursts of wind. As Jeff will tell you, since there are no trees out here along the road, you can't tell where the wind is until your RV is hit with it. There was actually a road sign that said: "Cross Winds." I pointed it out to Jeff, and he got the point of putting both hands on the steering wheel. He loves it when I do that...

The kids love the new campgound. It has miniature golf, a pool, hand-operated paddle boats, a hybrid of croquet and billiards, a petting zoo, gameroom and bikes. I think they've managed to do it all since we've been here.

Tomorrow, we'll head to Glacier National Park and the Going to the Sun Road. It's a very scenic drive up near the mountain peaks. It also takes you past lakes that are a vibrant bluish green because of all the minerals that run down the mountains when the snow melts.

We're excited to go back to Whitefish, a nice little town nearby. More on that later. It's time for bed.
